Why the OHSHC Anime Will Never Top the Manga

KISS KISS FALL IN LOVE!!

It sucks to infinity and beyond that OHSHC won't get a second season (and I don't think it ever will), but the manga makes up for that in my opinion.

First off, in the anime only lasts one school-year while the manga literally lasts until they're all off at college in America.

Second, Hikaru actually makes this romantic gesture and confesses to Haruhi, but she rejects him by admitting she liked Tamaki. Despite that their friendship is still very strong throughout the manga.

Also, in the anime we never get to meet Tamaki's mother unless it's in a flashback where she's faceless.

But in the manga, Kyoya goes on a trip and passes out on the sidewalk, only to wake up in some woman's house. He later finds out that the woman who brought him there is Tamaki's mother, who is a piano instructor in her community.

And Lady Eclair (does anyone else just start dying over this name? Who names their daughter Eclair??) doesn't even exist in the manga. There are girls who tried taking Tamaki away but not as far as making him go back to France.

The anime never actually confirms that Haruhi and Tamaki end up together in the last episode, they're just seen falling into the river and eventually meet up with the other hosts. But at the end of the manga it's shown that they live together during college in America when the other hosts come to greet them after they've moved into the same building. AND, at the last page we see Tamaki holding a wedding-dress clad Haruhi bridal-style, which confirms that they eventually got married sometime in the future.

So yeah. I just don't feel like the anime will ever be as good as the manga, even if we did get a season two at some point in time. In certain aspects it's just too different.
